P. K. (he/him) is a dance artist and creator based in Brussels, BE. He completed his professional studies at SEAD, Salzburg, AT, and at P.A.R.T.S., Brussels, BE, up to MA eq level.

He thrives in interdisciplinary collaborative environments.

As a performer, he has collaborated with Tino Sehgal, Anton Lachky, Needcompany, and, more recently, with HODWORKS and Imre Vass (HU). Between 2020 and 2021, he worked closely with The Symptoms (HU) as a creative co-director.

He’s a founding member of Under500 Festival, where he took on co-organizer-programmer-performer roles in the first four iteration of the festival.

As a creator, he strives to develop bold works that accept and acclaim dance per se. His work places the moving, (self)conscious body at the center, exploring touch-based practices derived from a post-contact improvisation perspective. Through auto-somatic nonfiction, he navigates towards researching new methodologies of dance improvisation.

Currently, he is invested in understanding the body as a vehicle for transformation. Informed by medieval alchemical practices, his research process mortar & pestle investigates the transmutative capacities of the body on both a material and immaterial level; whereas his previous, yet ongoing topic-stream neurocracy indulges into the poetic interpretations of dance – propelling the fictious towards the physical.

After concluding the tour of his piece Cryptic Bodies, he is currently preparing his new creation, J(awe)S, which explores ecstasy and supreme beauty through the notion of “jaw-dropping”—both in a literal and metaphorical sense.
